According to SPCA Hong Kong, there is a risk of transmission of Coronavirus (CoViD-19) from humans to dogs.

Reported case of animals affected by COVID-19 :
On February 27, 2020, the case of a Pomeranian dog has shown positive test results. The dog belong to a sexagenarian Hong Kong patient affected by the Covid-19 virus.

On February 28, a second test shows positive results in the oral and nasal cavity samples.
On the other hand, a test shows positive results in samples from nasal cavity on March 02. But oral cavity samples showed negative results.

No signs of infection
- Wash your hands
- Avoid touching your nose, mouth or even your eyes
- Avoid close human contact, kisses or hand shake
- Get around crowded places, especially hospitals
Showing signs of infection
- Avoid all human and also animal contact during the quarantine and test period
- Wear an anti projection/surgical mask to protect your human entourage and your dog
